Romanian Farmers and Processors Association - RFPA is a Non Governmental Organization founded in 2006 devoted to research and development activities.RFPA main objectives are research, elaboration, innovation, implementation, transfer, and dissemination of technological solutions in agriculture, fish farming, and food industry in order to assure a competitive, sustainable and inclusive growth in rural areas, for enhancement of environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. RFPA has 7 local subsidiaries assuring a very good representativity at the national level, summing up over 10500 members and excellent national logistics. RFPA has wide experience and expertise in management of research&development projects, elaboration of development studies and strategies, in documentary studies and analyses. General objectives of RFPA: 1. Research, Development,Innovation, transfer of know how and dissemination for: production, storage, conservation, processing and commercialization of agriculture products, fish, breading, forestry, of biomass, renewable energies, environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development in agro-processing domain, compliance with good agriculture practices; 2. Professional formation and certification of professional competences, education and culture; Main activities performed by RFPA: 1. During 2012 - 2013 period RFPA has participated together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for elaboration of national strategy for research and developing in agriculture domain, entitled: Strategy for research - development - innovation in the medium and long term food 2014 - 2020/2020 - 2030. 2. RFPA contributes to elaboration of National Program of Romania for Rural Development for the period 2014 - 2020 (for the implementation of European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development - EAFRD, instruments of the CAP) as member of working group organized by the Consultative Thematic Committee - Rural Development, Agriculture and Fishing coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development 3. Within the working group the Agriculture and food industry, RFPA has contributed to elaboration of sectorial analyses, proposed priority domains of interventions and finacial allocations, specific result indicators targeted groups and areas, main beneficiaries. Moreover, it was actively involved in elaboration of SWOT Analyses (NRDP 2014 - 2020). 4. RFPA is a member of Agriculture - National Network Information Multipliers for National Rural Development Programme (NRDP) 2014 - 2020, project started in early March 2014, with the Funding Agency for Rural Development and Fisheries together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
