Research Station for Viticulture and Enology Blaj -Romania -Public institution with over 70 years of activity in research. 11 researchers involved in four laboratories specialized in grapevine assortment improving, viticultural technologies, plant protection, wine-making technologies and chemistry of the wines.
Fields of interest: new vine-breeds and clones; organic viticulture; grape quality management; using of secondary products: marc, wood from pruning,...; water and nutrients management in viticulture; quality and tipicity of wines; extension and technology transfer; eno-tourism. Research Department is involve in many research projects at the national level but also internationally like.
