The coorperation interest is intended for modern sustainable agro-ecosystem diversification and segetal flora control by selecting and evaluating allelopatpic efficiency of legume plant species. It helps to create innovative ecologically and economically based modern cultivation technologies intercropping and catch crops, reduce tillage and mulch, plant mixtures).
The Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry is a State research institute operating as a budgetary institution. The Centre’s strategic objective is to conduct R&D in the fields of agronomy, forestry, as well as related fields of ecology and environmental sciences, biology, biophysics. Research, various scientific programs and projects are carried out at the Centre. Researchers are involved in national (funded by the Lithuanian Research Council, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economy and other state authorities) and international projects (funded from HORIZON 2020, European Territorial Cooperation and other EU funds).
Since 2010, the Institute of Agriculture has been an integral part of the Lithuanian Research Center for Agriculture and Forestry. The activities of the Institute are focused on the interdisciplinary research in agronomy and related fields relevant for the development of agriculture and bioeconomy, as well as the enhancement of national and international cooperation links and dissemination of the scientific results.
