We will provide support for New Zealand-based researchers to participate in projects examining the sustainable intensification of agricultural systems via projects that wish to: 1) develop sustainability metrics, and 2) utilize these metrics using systems methodologies to examine the trade-offs in values across spatial and temporal scales.

AgResearch is a large publically owned research organization who's purpose is to enhance the value, productivity and profitability of pastoral, agri-food and agri-technology sector value-chains to contribute to economic growth and beneficial environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand. AgResearch is acting as a facilitator for the National Science Challenge on Our Land and Water who's aim is to enhance primary sector production and productivity while maintaining and improving our land and water quality for future generations. We will tackle many of the same issues highlighted in the FACCE-SURPLUS call, and are therefore interested in participating in relevant projects.
