Our research team is looking for cooperation in projects that require non-destructive testing of tree internal structure using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology.
Our expertise is radar hardware (prototype) design, signal processing methods.
Our proposed project tasks could be: a) conducting research in the field of applicability of radar subsurface sensing for non-destructive testing of the internal structure of the tree; b) creating a model of a specialized tree state; c) creating a software package for signal processing that characterizes the internal structure of the tree.
We represent the discrete processing laboratory of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science.
*The main research areas are:
- theoretical and practical research in the field of subsurface pulsed radar;
- theoretical and practical research in the field of detection of small-sized targets (in particular people) in confined spaces, both open and dielectric obstacles;
- theoretical and practical research in the field of detection of human breathing, including those who are under a layer of soil.
*Laboratory features:
- theoretical studies in these areas;
- development and manufacture of radio equipment both at the level of laboratory models, and small-scale production at the level of modern standards.
*Experience from previous studies:
- subsurface sounding radars in the range of 1 - 3 GHz;
- radars detect human respiration;
- Sensors - human detection radars in enclosed spaces;
